With a population of 70.000, Imola, the former Roman city of Forum Cornelii, is the largest town of the Imola-Faenza Territory. It houses the world renown " Enzo e Dino Ferrari" racing circuit and boasts a wealth of history and traditions. Imola has important religious and secular landmark including the San Domenico church with its Gothic portal, the Romanesque bell tower of Santa Maria in Regola, the Sforza fortress, City Hall, Palazzo Sersanti, as well as the Cidra museum devoted to Resistance period.
